Keep the
Kit Match‑Ready

Four simple habits between final whistle and next kickoff — so your numbers, names, and crest stay sharp all season long.

Why this matters

A printed jersey is built differently than everyday clothing — the wrong wash cycle is the #1 cause of cracked numbers and faded crests.

Follow the four steps on this card and your FCS uniform will hold its color, stitching, and print for years of seasons — not just one.

01 SORT THE LAUNDRY

Wash With Like Colors

Keep your uniform with similar shades only. Mixing it into a mixed-color load risks color transfer — onto the jersey, or onto everything else in the basket.

02 PREP THE LOAD

Flip It Inside Out

Turn the jersey inside out before it goes in. This puts a layer of fabric between your numbers, name, and crest and the agitation of the wash.

03 SET THE MACHINE

Cold Water, Gentle Cycle

Set the machine to cold on a gentle / delicate cycle. Heat is what breaks down the printed vinyl on numbers and names — cold water keeps it intact.

04 AFTER THE WASH

Air Dry — Always

Skip the dryer. Heat warps printed numbers and shrinks fabric. Hang the jersey to dry and it comes out wrinkle-free with no extra ironing.

If you must machine-dry: jersey inside out, dryer on low heat only.

05 THE ONE RULE

Never Iron Direct

Never press an iron straight onto a number, name, or logo — direct heat melts the print into the jersey. Need to de-wrinkle? Lay a thin towel over the print first.
